DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fiber Optic Outside Plant Construction Supervisor to join our team. As a Construction Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation and construction of fiber optic outside plant projects. This position requires frequent travel to various project locations.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

• Project Execution and Supervision:

  •  Manage and supervise the FTTH, middle mile construction of outside plant projects.

  • Ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines.

  • Provide leadership and direction to in-house and subcontractor crews.

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure quality workmanship.

  • Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

• Resource Management:

  • Ensure availability of resources, including skilled labor and equipment, for project execution.

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to procure necessary materials and equipment.

  • Perform accurate material and scope take-offs to facilitate resource planning.

  • Track and coordinate material delivery to project sites.

• Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Drive project completion within the allocated schedule and budget.

  • Manage scope changes during construction and take necessary corrective actions.

• Quality and Safety:

  • Uphold high standards of construction quality and ensure adherence to industry best practices.

  • Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with quality standards.

  • Promote a culture of safety and enforce safety protocols on project sites.

  • Address any safety concerns promptly and take corrective measures.

• Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare regular project status reports, including progress updates and performance data.

  • Communicate project updates to the construction manager and other stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the lead construction manager to ensure effective communication flow.

  • Provide feedback on improvement opportunities and propose innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in fiber optic outside plant construction.

• In-depth knowledge of fiber optic installation techniques, industry standards, and regulations.

• Proven experience in supervising construction crews and managing subcontractor relationships.

• Strong understanding of construction practices, project planning, and resource management.

• Ability to travel extensively to project sites as required.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and project management software.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
