Meet Nick Gentry
NICK GENTRY
Chief Financial Officer
Meet Nick, WANRack’s recently appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Nick joined the team in June of 2021. He brings over 30 years of finance experience, working with both public and private companies, serving both domestic and global markets.
Prior to joining the WANRack team, Nick was the CFO for 4 different organizations, across 4 different industries, featuring ownership with 3 different private equity funds and 4 owner/ entrepreneurs over the last 16 years. Prior to these CFO roles, Nick has served as a top financial officer for a leading private global energy trading company, managing banking relationships primarily in Europe, the Middle East, and the Pacific Rim. Before these executive positions, Nick had eight-year stints with two large, publicly traded companies: Sprint PCS (now T-Mobile) and Unitog Company (now Cintas).
Nick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Missouri and an MBA from Rockhurst University.
So far during Nick's time at WANRack he has added so much value. He is extremely dedicated to WANRack and is determined to tackle every project, small or large. Nick works hard to progress our finance team each and every day. He is constantly working to improve the functionality of our office and strives to make improvements daily. We love having Nick on our WANRack team, as he is a huge asset!
Nick’s favorite part of working at WANRack is being a part of a fast-growing company. He enjoys that every day is a new day, full of both expected and unexpected challenges. Never a dull moment!
Three Things You Should Know About Nick:
1) How do you enjoy spending your time when not at work?
I enjoy spending time and traveling with my expanding family, including my new daughter-in-law and granddaughter in the last month - and more on the way. I also enjoy outdoor activities involving the sun - golf, beaches, swimming pools! And most evenings you can find me playing my piano to relax and reflect!
2) What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?
Listening is preferable to speaking - An opinion once given is lost forever!
